Mobile police responded to a report of a shot fired in the 1000 block of Cherokee Street this afternoon and found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
Emergency responders took the victim to the hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries, Mobile Police Corporal LaDerrick DuBose said in an email.
Police are investigating and do not have any suspects.

The incident follows another shooting on Spring Hill Avenue in Mobile this morning that injured two people.
